One of the Europe’s most prolific strikers in recent years, Luis Fabiano, has finally announced himself on the international scene. The Seville forward has scored three goals in his four games in South Africa this summer.
Football betting experts have stated that he has now attracted the interest of some big teams throughout Europe with Manchester United and AC Milan being mentioned. His form won’t be a shock to many. In last year’s Confederations Cup, Fabiano finished as top scorer with five goals.
With Ronaldo past his best and Adriano left at home, the pressure was on Fabiano to lead the line on his own. His two goals against Ivory Coast, proved his quality.
His first, was a thunderbolt of a shot which nearly took the Ivorian goalkeeper’s head off. His second had an element of luck in it, after getting away with two handballs in the build up, Fabiano brought the ball down sublimely before finishing clinically in the bottom corner. His third goal of these finals was in the last 16 match against Chile, when a nice through ball from Kaka played in Fabiano, who finished coolly.
Brazil world cup betting odds have them as favourites at the moment as they have looked typically deadly in attack so far in South Africa, Kaka and Robinho have been given the responsibility of supplying their striker with chances.
Kaka and Fabiano played together a decade ago at Sao Paulo, that understanding has been key to Brazil’s success. If Fabiano carries on with his current form then his goals could help Brazil on their way to lifting the World Cup trophy for the sixth time.
